Gertie is named after my memories with my Grandmother. My Grandma always called me Gert or Gertie so it is a way to be reminded of my memories with her.

Tell us about a lesson you've learned.

Be patient during the bulk fermentation phase! But also, perfectionism does not belong in the world of sourdough. It’s a beautiful journey of so many lessons learned along the way.
