Bakers use bread lames (French for blade, pronounced LAHM) to score and slash dough. The Zabota bread lame is perfect for beginning and experienced bakers. The handle is both beautiful and comfortable to hold while you slash your dough, and when dulled, the blade can be replaced with any double-edged razor blade.
Made in the USA.

Each Zatoba lame is lovingly cut from walnut and polished by hand. The brass thumbnuts make blade replacement quick and easy. A portion of proceeds from each purchase are donated to the World Food Program—just one of the many reasons we love this lame.
After each use, simply wipe the non-stick blade with a damp, soft cloth. To remove dough from the handles, gently wash with mild soap and rinse well. Make sure to thoroughly dry both the blade and the handle before storing.
Never soak your lame in water and do not wash the lame in the dishwasher.
To revive the finish of the walnut handle, rub mineral oil or linseed oil carefully into the wood using a soft cloth.
