Bakers use bread lames (French for blade, pronounced LAHM) to score and slash dough. Some bakers find that the curved razor gets under the surface of the dough more easily than a straight blade. Our lame’s curved blade will help produce superb ears, loaf after loaf!

The Curved Bread Lame includes five blades and a protective leather cover.
After each use, simply wipe the blade with a damp, soft cloth. To remove dough from the handles, gently wash with mild soap and rinse well. Make sure to thoroughly dry both the blade and the handle before storing it.
Never soak your lame in water and do not wash the lame in the dishwasher.
To prepare the lame for use, insert the lame through one end of the razor blade. While slightly bending the blade, push the lame through the last opening of the blade. When it’s inserted correctly, the razor blade will have a slight curvature.
Store your lame in its protective leather cover when not in use.
