Tell us something memorable about your sourdough starter.

My four sisters and I all began our starters 3 years ago while living in different states/cities. It has been our way of staying connected, comparing bakes and sharing tips.

What is the one bread or pastry you could bake every week and never tire of?

For me, nothing beats a classic sourdough loaf. I could make a fresh loaf every single week and never get tired of it. 

What’s a mistake or challenge that taught you the most in your baking journey?

We have all learned to bake by “feel” instead of focusing on the clock. I used to obsess over exact timing, but I have learned to monitor the dough temperature and watch for the perfect bulk fermentation.
