What first inspired you to start baking bread?

I got into baking bread out of curiosity and love for homemade comfort food. Seeing people online turn a simple starter into amazing loaves inspired me to try it and once I did, I was hooked. There’s something so satisfying about kneading, watching it rise, and pulling a warm loaf from the oven.

Tell us about your starter.

My sourdough starter is named Pandoughra, inspired by Pandora’s box. I chose that name because every time I open the jar, it feels like there are endless possibilities. What started as just flour and water turned into so many things in my kitchen, my weekly sourdough bread, focaccia, discard pancakes, and a lot of trial and error along the way. Pandoughra reminds me that something simple can grow into something meaningful. It’s more than just a starter now and it’s part of my routine and my baking life.

What’s your favorite tip for getting great results in the Challenger Bread Pan?

My favorite tip is don’t skimp on the proofing. Let the dough rise fully before baking, and don’t worry if it feels slow. Patience makes the crumb light and the top golden. Also, a quick spritz of water before baking helps get a nice crust without sticking to the pan.
